Advocacy to Action: Policy. Investment. Power. Across the world, we’re seeing unprecedented investment in women’s sports - clubs, sponsors, and leagues betting big and creating seismic shifts. Australia has been a leader in moments and advocacy, but the challenge now is to sustain that energy locally: translating global momentum into feasible, scalable actions that fit our context. This breakfast is about how policy cements long-term equity, how investment (whether financial, structural, or cultural) drives growth, and how power, from voices to leadership, ensures women’s sport remains a national agenda item. It’s about keeping the movement alive not just through big dollars, but through smart, collective action. Ticket sales for this event are now closed. Limited tickets are still available on a first come first dressed basis. Please email secretary@womensportaustralia.com.au with any request.

Women in Sport Brunch 2024
CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park
08:30 – 11:00
The annual Women in Sport Brunch hosted by Women Sport Australia will be held at Centrepiece at Melbourne Park on Friday October 11, 2024. With a new location for the event in the heart of Melbourne’s sporting mecca, the morning will feature a superb lineup of guest speakers to discuss why women are a key difference to a thriving culture. Women have been proving they are making a huge difference across the sport sector. Our Aussie female Olympians dominated the medal count at the Paris 2024 Olympics along with similar statistics for other countries such as Canada and the US. The Matildas continue to draw attention and engagement with an incredible 14 consecutive sell out home match record. Internationally we saw a record-breaking ownership deal that saw Angel City FC (NSWL) valued at $US250 million and the WNBA secured a $US2.2billion broadcast deal off the back of the Caitlin Clark effect. It’s safe to say women’s sport is finally seeing the cut-through that we knew could occur. Across our conversations, we will explore how we capitalise on this momentum and continue to push growth and engagement across all women’s sport to achieve the ultimate goal of equity for women and girls. Partnership packages are also available. For more information please email president@womensportaustralia.com.au

2023 Women in Sport Brunch
Marvel Stadium Victory Room, Docklands
08:30 – 12:00
Women Sport Australia's 10th annual Women in Sport Brunch proudly supported by Victoria University returns to Marvel Stadium on Friday October 6th, but this time... it's a BRUNCH!   Friday 6th October 8.30am for 9.00am START 11.45am CONCLUDES Victory Room, Marvel Stadium, Docklands   2023 has already been a TRANSFORMATIONAL year for sport in Australia at all levels. The greatest ever FIFA Women's World Cup has provided tangible evidence there is an amplified respect and response for women's sport in Australia. Our Matilda's have helped smash broadcast numbers, attendance figures AND created one of this generation's most iconic moments in history with their heartstopping quarter final victory against France.  Outside of football, records have broken across 2023 for attendance across majority of women's leagues (NRLW, AFLW, SuperW, WBBL, Suncorp Super Netball and the WNBL), yet reports show, it's predominately male sports fans in the stands.  And the Barbie Movie launched also smashing records. So the question we ask is.. What do WOMEN want when it comes to sport?  What do female athletes want? What do female fans want ?  What do WOMEN want?  How do we convert female support to female fans to female investors to female champions.   Are we giving WOMEN what they want through sport?    What matters most to create an equitable, safe and barrier-less environment for women and girls to participate in sport  AND what's in the art of marketing strategies and fan engagement campaigns that atttract women to invest and support sport? Join us, to have this 'Real chat'.  To Reflect on what has been an incredible, transformational year, but also to discuss with some leading brand managers and strategic minds, this HUGE question 'What do WOMEN want?'   We look forward to seeing you at the Victory Room for the 2023 Women in Sport Brunch!

Women in Sport Breakfast
Marvel Stadium
07:00 – 09:30
The iconic Women in Sport breakfast is a milestone event that brings together the sports industry to acknowledge, celebrate and continue the work all stakeholders are doing to advocate, elevate and extend the opportunities and access to sport for women and girls. Following a two-year online pivot, it is extremely exciting to be back in the room with the industry at the October 7 event, and at such a time as the completion of the Commonwealth Games, FIBA Women's World Cup and the Rugby World Cup.   Not to forget the expansion of the AFLW, NRLW, A League Women and continued elevation of the Suncorp Super Netball, WNBL, WBBL, World Surfing League, ATP, PGA, Horse Racing and many more! It is a rip-roaring time for women in sport at the elite level in Australia, and this is due to continue for the next decade, with the FIFA Women's World Cup (2023), FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships (2022), Victorian Commonwealth Games (2026), Netball World Championships (2027) all on the short term calendar in Australia, leading into the Olympics in 2032. There are many great minds in policy, participation, high performance and at the coal face in consumer land that can contribute to this conversation; so our proposal for the Women in Sport breakfast theme is to bring together some of the leading voices to tackle this question in a panel format.   Facilitated by WSA, posing a handful of questions, and perhaps utilising some interactive technology to get opinions or thoughts from the audience also, to get a real snapshot of the room’s perspective.  We look forward to seeing you there - further details about speakers will be announced soon!!   Sporting Organisation Partnerships We are thankful for the support sporting organisation's have shown the Women in Sport Breakfast in the past and look forward to having returning and new sporting event partners in 2022.  The sporting partnership opportunities and benefits that we have available in 2022 are:   Gold Partner ($3,000) Silver Partner ($2,000) Bronze Partner ($1,000) - 30 tickets - 4 VIP tickets - Logo on website & collateral - Recognition Award for someone in your sport who has increased women and girls participation - Display banner in event foyer - 20 tickets - 3 VIP Tickets - Logo on website & collateral - Recognition Award for someone in your sport who has increased women and girls participation - Display banner in event foyer - 10 tickets - 2 VIP Tickets - Logo on website & collateral - Recognition Award for someone in your sport who has increased women and girls participation - Display banner in event foyer These sporting partnerships can be booked online here, or you can contact equity@womensportaustralia.com.au if an invoice is better.    Corporate Partnerships If you are a corporate partner who would like to be a part of this event please get in touch by emailing equity@womensportaustralia.com.au.
