Sydney Women In Sport Mentoring Program
Australian Olympic Committee (AOC)
13:00 – 17:00
The Women in Sport Mentoring Program is perfect for women working in sport who are early-mid career level who wish to take their career to the next level. The mentoring workshop will take place in Sydney from 1pm-5pm AEST on Tuesday 13th September.
To begin their mentoring journey, mentees attend a Professional Workshop focusing on:
Being a Confident Leader
The Art of Networking
Boards and Committees
Career Pathways
Post-workshop mentees are assessed and carefully matched with mentors to maximise their learning and development.
Mentees and mentors then organise three one-on-one sessions at times and via mediums that are convenient to both of them. Regular program communication and a mentoring group network will provide guidance to mentors and mentees, ensuring progress is made.
The program concludes with an evaluation to assess how well it has met expectations and assist future enhancement.

Women Sport Australia, the peak independent body for women and girls in Sport in Australia, is delighted to invite you to attend the 2022 Women in Sport Photo Action Awards winners event.
Join us on Wednesday, 1st June at 6pm at Foys Arcade, lvl 6/246 Bourke St, Melbourne for the announcement of all winners of the 2022 Women in sports photo Action Awards, presented by ISPT.
We'll be celebrating all the finalists and winners of the professional, amateur and new emerging categories of #WISPAA.
Host and WSA President Gen Dohrmann will speak with photographers and judges who have entered from around the country to hear the stories and inspirations behind their winning photographs. See the 2022 finalists here.
Now in its fourth year, #WISPAA aims to generate greater recognition and respect for the power and athleticism of Australian women actively participating in sport, through the images captured by professional, amateur and emerging photographers.

For this Melbourne session there is also the opportunity to attend a Women of Sport Networking Lunch from 12.30pm after the mentoring workshop - please the different program prices below for this option.

2020 Women in Sport Photo Action Award (WISPAA) Webinar

Women Sport Australia is proud to present a virtual event showcasing its hugely popular 2020 Women in Sport Photo Action Award (WISPAAs) finalist images.
The WISPAAs was inaugurated in 2019 as a photographic competition to generate greater recognition and respect for the skill, strength and athleticism of Australian women actively participating in sport.
This year the WISPAAs have seen further growth from last year's successful first edition. In total there were 372 images submitted by 160 photographers, which is 88 more images and 52 more photographers than last year.

The virtual event will review the top 15 images in each of the amateur and professional categories and examine the impact of the WISPAA competition on raising the profile of women in sport in Australia.
The event will be held online on Wednesday 16 September from 5.00-5.45pm (AEST). It is a free event open to anyone and will be hosted as a live event, with a recording to be made available at a later date.
Multi-award winning journalist and author Sam Lane will moderate the event as MC. Sam was one of the judges of the 2020 WISPAA competition. She will facilitate a panel discussion featuring:
- Getty Sports chief photographer and 2020 WISPAA judge Ryan Pierse;
- 2020 WISPAA professional winner Michael Willson (also the winner of the 2019 WISPAA professional award);
- 2020 WISPAA amateur winner Casey Sims; and
- Deputy Chair of Women Sport Australia, Gen Simmons.
